Let me start by saying I have had my rc/sb 4x4 hemi since 2004 and have been through what you guys are going through with lack of mods. I test drove a tundra for the first time a few weeks ago and all I could say is WOW! The 3rd gen ram doesn not even copmpare. Everything about the tundra seems so much better then the dodge. Now to clear up some of these posts.

1: Do not try to adjust map voltage to gewt a leaner AFR as xhemi stated. It is a good way to kill a trans. The trans bases its line pressure off of readings from the map sensor. Been there done that.

2: A hemi ram will not do 155mph stock by doing the "key trick". The key trick unlocks the converter. Alot of the heads/cam hemis don't even have the power to overcome the slipping converter to do 155 with the key trick. You would be better off pulling the abs pump fuse that also disables the speedo and limiter. The speedo only goes to 120 so if your going for 155 you would need gps anyways.

3. to the guy that said no hemi can hang with the that turbo chebby...KRC did a truck with a single turbo 5.7 that runs 11's..owner goes by ColtSteel.

4.Whomever said Matt(hemi450) ran high 13's with boltons. He ran 13.2 just before he blew his trans. Remeber his truck is an 03 so there is no tune available. Thats also why he has such a small cam in his stroker.

5. No question Stock vs. stock the tundra will walk all over a hemi. However it seems like the hemi guys are more willing to cut weight. It would be a great place for you guys to start picking up time. I'd like to see what a 2wd std. cab tundra would do if you dropped the spare/tailgate/pass. seat/jack/ front swaybar and threw on some DR's. I'm pretty sure you could beat most of the bolton/cam only hemi guys with an otherwise stock truck.

At the end of the day I think they are both great vehicles. I'll be keeping my hemi as I have too much into it at this point, but I will be looking forward to spending some seat time in the tundra as well.

Edit: Forgot to add for those that say the Hemi is a POS Mexican motor. Mine has almost 600 1/4 mile passes on it and 45k miles without a single problem. I've had the heads off after 30k miles to change valvesprings and everything was just as it should be. I'll be pulling them again in a few weeks to inspect while I'm swapping cams again. I suspect all will be well this time too. You can make any engine live. Its all in the tune and maintanance.

Its compitition that makes us all faster. If you can't respect a a vehicle that is fast regardless of brand your not a true gearhead.
Welcome and enjoy your ride. Post some pics when you can.
